Hank the Septopus - Rigged Character for Blender

Another Blender character I wanted to share with the Blender animators out there. Pixar made a video dedicated to how complex Hank was to build and animate for their Finding Dory film, so I wanted to give it a try. This one is probably not as complex as theirs, but it definitely required some out of the box thinking to make it work. B-bones and bezier-curves are the main drivers of this rig. Same goes for the animation, it is a lot to keep track of all the tentacles and pose them in ways that feel natural, but it is super fun to squish him around and very satisfying when you have something that feels nice!

The .blend file contains model, rig and textures, so make sure to "unpack resources" and re-save the file to make saving faster. Both Cycles and Eevee next ready! Made for Blender 4.2.

(selecting bones in blender 4.2.0 might be buggy, if you experience issues then un-check the "Shapes" in the armatures Viewport Display options for a quick fix to the issue, or use previous blender version for now)
